Tårnby Fire Department is the main fire department in the municipality of Tårnby in Denmark. This fire department is not only responsible for the safety and security of 41,000 residents, but also for the Copenhagen Airport and Drogden tunnel. Therefore, personnel at Tårnby Fire Department were on the lookout for an advanced and modern simulator tool that could enhance their crew’s competencies and skills – Response Simulator.
We spoke with Niklas Ejstrup, a firefighter at Tårnby, who gave us deeper insight on how firefighters use Response Simulator in their trainings and the benefits it added to the fire department.

Since using RS, the Tårnby Fire Department was able to run four scenarios that appeared “almost perfect”, in the words of Niklas. The team leaders and commanders have also tested two scenarios with positive results!
