There is no doubt that this past period has brought many challenges and uncertainty to many of you. Our team is no exception. Like probably most of you, we have been adapting to this new situation brought to us by the COVID-19 pandemics. As advised, our team has been working remotely from the comfort of their own home. It took some time to figure out the new dynamics, but it is clear that the changing work approach will bring new challenges in the future.
Unfortunately, many of our ongoing projects were put on hold due to various restrictions which had a significant impact on our operations and planning. The last month we have been re-evaluating the development roadmap of our products. It was clear that in order to successfully finish this year, we will need to focus on the projects with our long term customers. Unfortunately, it means that this year we will not proceed with the development of NAUTIS Home.
NAUTIS Home is a project that the whole team is excited to work on. We have the knowledge, we have the tools, but for now, everyone in the team has their hands full. Being a small company, at the moment we are not in the situation to bring more people on board.
Needless to say, this situation is not what we have planned, however, we believe that by next year, we will be ready to continue where we stopped and have new energy to deliver the best consumer maritime simulator possible.
To keep you updated, at the end of this year, we will share more information regarding the development plan and estimated timeline for 2021.
We appreciate your support and understanding, and we hope that you will stay with us until next year!

Last month, we invited several maritime enthusiasts to our HQ in Rotterdam to meet the team and participate in a NAUTIS Home workshop. On March 4th, we welcomed 7 participants who were willing to share their ideas and expectations for this project!
Our team started the workshop with presenting the concept of the NAUTIS Home project. After that, the participants were able to test a prototype version of NAUTIS Home and also sail around on our professional NAUTIS simulator setup. Next, an interactive workshop followed, where all the participants were asked to create and present their perfect version of NAUTIS Home. The presentations encouraged great discussions that resulted in valuable input for the upcoming stages of the project.
We once again would like to thank all the participants for visiting our office and sharing their time, energy and excellent ideas.
For now, our team is focusing on evaluating the development roadmap and necessary resources. It is not an easy task having in mind that we are working on several big projects at once. Working from home and adjusting to the current situation makes it more difficult. We hope that in the coming month, we will have more clarity and will be able to proceed full speed ahead.
That is it for now! We hope you and your families are safe and healthy in this rather difficult times.

In November, a small group of people were invited to try out the initial prototype version of NAUTIS Home. During the testing week, the following topics were covered: visuals of the product, vessel controls, content, and overall product perception. So where are we now? After the prototype research, we have analyzed the results and are busy evaluating what should be included in the development roadmap. Further research will continue this quarter, so we will keep you posted!
We want to make sure that the final product fully meets your needs. We are a small company with big ambitions and the release of NAUTIS Home in 2020 is one of them.
